September 28, 2015

Hello everyone!
Well this week was alright, I don't have my journal with me to get all the details because we are currently driving around trying to get our bikes fixed. The back tire on mine has a pretty bad wobble and one of the elders in the district broke his axil so bike werks is working on them. They are less than helpful, it's frustrating.

I don't know if you guys feel neglected because my letters aren't novels, some of the missionaries write home about ever single detail and it's ridiculous.

So here are the highlights, the minister named Tim that we were going to try and teach at his church text us.... It's a good thing we didn't go because we were walking into a bash. He told us why the church is wrong and that we should "run for our everlasting lives from this organization". It was fun actually. We see him a lot on the road and we just smile at him and try not to laugh. Got to be Christlike

On that bash note, the lady named Ingrid invited us back to her house, we knew that we were walking into bash but we went anyway. Her son was there honors a sophomore in college studying to be a preacher, he is also 18 so super genius bible scholar. But then we actually had a nice lesson/ conversation with them which was shocking but it was good, we will see what happens there I guess.

The Mendozas have another baptismal date! He is still struggling with his health. He had a heart attack in June and was pronounced dead for 45 minutes. So there are still some issues. But other than that they are doing their best to progress and it is awesome. Wally and his family are still meeting with us which is great! They have a lot of questions but they are reading the BoM very consistently and there is potential there.

Last thing is that we met a new lady named Tamisha. One day we were visiting a fake address and it didn't answer so we did some other knocking. We knocked on 3 doors total and the 3rd one opened. We taught the restoration on her doorstep and it was very loud and we didn't know how much she understood.
Later on we called her and set up a lesson/ church tour, we taught her about baptism and invited her to be baptized. She accepted and wants to come to church and progress and has a real desire. At the end of the lesson we asked her to pray, she was hesitant but she prayed anyway. in her prayer she thanked God for telling her to open the door even though she didn't hear it. We asked her about it and she told us she had no idea that someone was at the door but that she had the impression to check. She is now working towards her date and she is the best investigator we have as far as keeping in contact. She was definitely prepared for the gospel.

That's pretty much it! Thanks for all the emails

Cool bike short cut
