Hey everyone!
So, first off this week has been awful as far as the bike situation. I dropped my bike off at bike werks last Monday and they were less than helpful. They said they would need it for a while and I would have to leave it. so I did. I then went to the mission office to get the loner bike that another missionary left. It was run down and super trashy with iffy brakes, but it would do. on Friday night we where riding in and as I was pedaling it busted and stopped working. I got off, and it turned out the axle had snapped and the bike was useless until I fixed it. I wasn't even messing around when it broke... I guess I could lose some weight? who knows. but now I am on another bike that the Zone leaders had that is equally trashed, but hey, I get mine back tomorrow!

Tuesday we where on splits with the other elders in the district, and it was a super rough day. Nobody would talk to us and all of our appointments fell through. Just a super hard day all around. but then the rest of the week was super awesome and we met all of our goals and even exceeded our goal for new investigators, we got 6 new people to listen to us this week! they are all awesome too. I hope something comes from it!

Fun fact though. southern hospitality doesn't apply if you are a missionary! The members treat us so well and we always have meal appointments... but all of the white people we talk to are usually super irritated we have bothered them. They love to chew us out because "summerwood is a no soliciting area" too bad we aren't selling anything, or that might apply! It's hard to be friendly and Christlike with those people.  That's probably why all of our investigators are African American (except wally and the Mendoza's... who are still not white). We don't have any white investigators. Coincidence or not it is true haha.

General conference was amazing it is way better as a missionary! i got so much from it. my first ponderize scripture is 2 nephi 32:3. I definitely needed the spiritual boost.  Discipleship can be hard but everything we want and strive to be will come with time. I needed that.

Well that is all for now! nothing too exciting happened this week, at least nothing out of the norm. the Mendoza's and Wally's family are still coming along, slowly but coming.

Love you all
